The She Kicks Locker Room: Kit Check with Sophie Walton

She Kicks, issue 26, February 2015 p.47

Notts County’s Sophie Walton answers the magazine’s recurring kit questionnaire and declares herself the owner of the cleanest boots she knows: dirty boots are a pet hate and she does not feel properly prepared unless they are spotless, a habit inherited from a father who always cleaned them for her. Her first pair were blue and lime green Lottos, she now wears white Nike Magistas, and she still misses old two-tone Nike Tiempos. She keeps only shirts she has worn herself, including both Leeds jerseys from FA Cup finals she lost and England shirts from the Under-19 Euros and Under-20 World Cup, having given many away to a junior club that sponsored her. Her essential item is Tubigrip, used to hold her shin pads in place.
