The Glasgow City forward, 21 and into double figures for the season by mid-October, submits to the kit questionnaire off the back of a third Scotland cap in a 2-1 friendly win over Venezuela. Her first boots were green and black Nike T90s and she wears yellow Mercurials now, but the all-time favourites are the blue Mercurials from the previous season, when she finished joint top goalscorer. She owns more than thirty pairs of trainers and boots, and passes the old ones to the Glasgow City Foundation or to younger fans. Nothing is embroidered on them yet; she would have the Scotland flag and her initials. The first shirt she wore was a Celtic academy one that came down to her knees, and her framed Scotland debut shirt was a 21st birthday present.
