Completing what the magazine calls its Cymru double, Cardiff City’s 22-year-old Welsh international turns out to be the rarest kind of subject for a kit questionnaire: she owns almost no football shirts at all, because she does not support a team. The only one she has is probably her Wales shirt. The exception, and the answer that gives the page its point, is the shirt from the day she started against England at Rodney Parade in Newport – a really significant moment for her, she says, now framed on her wall. Her first shirt was a Manchester United one, bought by an aunt who wanted her to support them, which she did not. Asked whose boot she would kiss she says Ronaldo’s or Messi’s, and beyond boots her essentials are pre-wrap, tape for the blisters on her toes, a towel and fluids.
