The She Kicks Locker Room: Kit Check with Jorja Fox (Chelsea)
She Kicks, issue 72, April 2022 pp.65–67
The Locker Room’s kit slot, conducted over a Zoom call with the Chelsea full-back then midway through a confidence-building loan at Charlton Athletic. Jorja Fox’s first remembered boots were dark green and yellow Nike Mercurials, the pair she trialled at Chelsea in; her favourites were black-and-gold Hypervenom sock boots she hunted down on a rare-boots website when they finally wore out. Old boots either go to other players and charities or, if there is an emotional attachment, into a box upstairs. She is useful on the economics too, noting that a WSL player without a boot deal gets a PFA voucher worth around 300 pounds. Her shirt collection runs from a fourth-birthday England shirt she refused to take off to a signed Champions League final Chelsea shirt, and she cannot play without undershorts.
