The She Kicks Locker Room: Kit Check with Hannah Cain (Leicester City)
She Kicks, issue 69, October 2021 p.63
Leicester City’s forward, a year on from fearing she might never play again and now with a Wales call-up, opens her kit bag. Her first boots were yellow and black Nike T90s with blades, which she describes as pretty disgusting. She wears bright pink Pumas that became a thing with the club’s fans last season and is trying to make them last. She owns at least fifty pairs of trainers and boots, thrown in a downstairs cupboard, and buys more at least monthly – her neighbour told her mother she was still ordering. Her first shirt was a purple Arsenal one with Thierry Henry on the back. Every England shirt she has played in is kept, half of them framed.
