The She Kicks Locker Room: Kit Check with Elisha N’Dow (Aston Villa)

She Kicks, issue 57, November 2019 pp.58–59

Aston Villa’s Elisha N’Dow, one of the few constants through years of squad turnover at a club then storming the Championship, submits to the kit inventory. Her first boots were a horrible pair of Adidas F50s; her current ones are Nike Mercurials, which she is keeping because they are comfortable and she is about comfort. She owns exactly one pair of boots and a good many trainers. The shirt collection is deeper: she has been at Villa since she was 11 and has a home and away shirt from every year since about 2008, plus the England shirts from youth tournaments in Israel and Norway, and a framed shirt marking her 100th Villa appearance. Gloves are non-negotiable in all weathers, and she reports that Ella Franklin-Fraiture’s socks are worse than hers.
