The She Kicks Locker Room: Kit Check with Caitlin McGuinness (Cliftonville)
She Kicks, issue 67, June 2021 p.66
The eighteen-year-old Cliftonville striker, who with her sister Kirsty became the first siblings to play together for Northern Ireland, opens her kit bag. She cannot remember her first boots because she started so young; she wears Puma Ultra 1.1 now and likes them because they go with the kit. She claims fifty-six billion pairs of trainers and boots, bins her old ones, and would happily kiss her own boot but never Toni Leigh Finnegan’s or Marissa Callaghan’s. Her first shirt was probably a Liverpool top, though Kirsty says she supports whoever has the nicest kit that season. The one she has kept is from her senior debut against Norway in November 2019. Essential kit, beyond boots and shinpads, is a hairbrush.
