The FA Community Shield 2020: Chelsea (team poster)
She Kicks, issue 63, October 2020 p.8
A full-page poster of Chelsea with the 2020 FA Women’s Community Shield, won at Wembley on the eve of a season that would begin with the club as reigning WSL champions on points per game. The PA Images photograph catches the squad on the pitch with pyrotechnics firing behind them, the trophy held up in the centre of a line of players beneath the competition’s lettering, and it is presented as a celebration page rather than as a report – there is no accompanying text on the page at all, and no individual player is named. It sits between the Lyon Champions League poster and the issue’s transfer-window opener.
