The Dóttir Diary

The columnist writes about crossing to the other side of the notebook, having conducted her first interview, with her close friend Fran Kirby, elsewhere in this issue. Thorisdottir describes it feeling less like an interview than a normal conversation, and an hour passing before either of them noticed. She had planned to watch Brighton’s FA Cup final at Wembley on tickets Kirby arranged, only for her own Klepp fixture to be moved, and watched on television instead, thinking the 4-0 scoreline flattered City. She also reports her own month out with concussion after an aerial challenge, a problem that once cost her five months at Chelsea, and Tuva Hansen’s ACL injury.
