The Big Kick Off: Dionne Lennon
She Kicks, issue 27, April 2015 p.21
Millwall Lionesses defender Dionne Lennon calls pre-season fantastic, crediting a new manager whose different approach saw the side play better and look fitter with each friendly. Having missed six months through injury she found herself loving the running and fitness she used to hate, though she is no fan of training in the cold. Her aim for the season is simply to enjoy it after managing only half of the last one and missing football badly. Asked what freebie would ease her season she requests loud speakers, the current ones being too poor to drown out the singing in the changing room and leaving her with a headache before every game. Thierry Henry is her celebrity fan of choice, and she predicts a top-four finish with Fran Kirby as leading scorer.
