SWPL: Rangers Ladies — Rangers rearranged and looking to future

She Kicks, issue SK16, September 2013 p.32

Andy Muirhead of Scotzine profiles Rangers Ladies under head coach Angie Hind, appointed after John Joyce left a side that had finished ninth in the SWPL, a move described as a major coup given she was then assistant coach of the Scotland national side. Her first game was a 3-2 defeat by champions Glasgow City, a match Hind felt they were unfortunate not to take something from, and she points to improved style, quality and understanding between the players since. Rangers then went ten games unbeaten, including a historic derby win over Celtic, before Eddie Wolecki Black’s Glasgow City won 2-0 and heavy defeats followed against Spartans and Hibernian. They remain third, a point above Spartans. Hind says the aim was never ninth to first but to build the right environment and a platform to push on.
