SWPL Players of the Month

A single-page item on September’s Scottish Women’s Premier League Player of the Month awards, supported by Park’s Motor Group, which both went to Glasgow City forwards. Ukraine international Nicole Kozlova took the top-division prize after scoring three goals during the month, including the crucial contribution in a 1-0 win over title rivals Rangers at Ibrox. The SWPL2 award went to 17-year-old Cara Gray, currently on loan at Kilmarnock, who scored four in September for the fellow high flyers, among them a first-half hat-trick that fired them towards a 5-0 victory against East Fife. The page sits within the issue’s wider Scottish coverage, which also takes in the Sky Sports Cup format changes and the Rangers supporters’ group Q&A.
