SWPL Best Superstition: Hannah Fulton (Stirling University)

A single-question box inside the 2019 Scottish Building Society SWPL season launch, running under the standing heading ‘SWPL Best Superstition’ beside the Quick Kicks Q&A with Dundee United’s Kirsty Oliphant. Stirling University centre midfielder Hannah Fulton supplies the answer: she has to wipe her shinguards and her boots as soon as the referee blows the whistle. It is one of two short named boxes carried inside the launch feature, the other tipping Spartans defender Robyn McCafferty as one to watch, and it sits beneath Oliphant’s account of Dundee United’s two promotions in three seasons since their launch in 2016, their twice-weekly training and her loyalty to good old-fashioned Copa Mundial boots.
