Swisstory To Be Made

A Group A interview with the Eintracht Frankfurt forward ahead of Switzerland’s second World Cup, their first under the German goalscoring great Inka Grings. Reuteler recalls setting up Fabienne Humm’s 121st-minute winner in the play-off against Wales, and says she never doubted the goal would stand after Ramona Bachmann’s had been ruled out by VAR earlier. She describes Grings as refreshingly outspoken, someone who says directly what is and is not working and demands that players take responsibility, and praises captain Lia Walti for the calm and communication she brings. With Switzerland having just won the right to host EURO 2025, she sees a good World Cup as a way to build interest at home.
