Summer Of Sverige? (Nathalie Bjorn interview)
She Kicks, issue 74, July 2022 pp.56–57
Two pages with the Everton defender heading to her third Sweden tournament after a first season in England she describes without varnish: injured a lot, too many defeats, and three different coaches in a single campaign. Nathalie Bjorn started the Tokyo Olympic final and converted her penalty in the shootout that took Sweden agonisingly close to gold, and she arrives at EURO 2022 with her country among the favourites. She names Vivianne Miedema as the toughest opponent she has played against, in the Olympic group game rather than the WSL. On English life she is amused by the first question anyone asked her in Liverpool – which team do you support – and by how different the food is, though she has never eaten as much toast in her life.
