SK Goal Getter: Danielle Lane

Worthing Minors midfielder Danielle Lane, who has scored thirty goals in sixteen games, insists there is no secret beyond pace, some accuracy and decent players picking her out. Now in her second season with a side top of the South East Counties West Division having lost once, she has previously played for Worthing College Academy, Adur Athletic, East Preston and Worthing Town, several of which folded. She set no goal target beyond winning the league, but as the wins and goals accumulated the aim became keeping a hundred per cent record and scoring in every game, a run that ended in late February. She is proudest of a length-of-the-pitch goal against Wivelsfield and rates the winner against title rivals Abbey Rangers her most important.
