#SheTweets: All-Action Allen (Remi Allen)

She Kicks conducts the whole interview on Twitter, and Remi Allen plays along. Her awards sit in a glass cabinet at her grandparents’ house alongside her England youth caps, because they are by far her biggest fans. She puts a season of Player of the Year, Players’ Player and Fans’ Player down to a hard pre-season, determination to show people what she can do and the backing of coaches and team mates. Asked about topping the league’s tackle and foul counts, she says the fouls do not surprise her and that tenacity has always been a huge part of her game, though she is more of an ankle-nipper than a crunching tackler. Her grandfather refereed, which is where the respect came from.
