Sherwood Readies Glovers to Go Again (Jamie Sherwood interview)

Jamie Sherwood, who led Yeovil Town to the WSL 2 title, says the message since promotion has been that his squad are strong physically and mentally and should not simply be happy to be there, but should challenge and compete. Asked what would make his job easier in the Spring Series he lists the obvious answers – finances, full-time training and players without other commitments – before insisting the club must instead embrace an opportunity to develop sustainably. The biggest difference between the divisions, he says, is the level of punishment for a simple mistake on or off the pitch, and the concentration and discipline required to stay engaged throughout a game.
