Twelve-year-old Freya Vine from Horncastle sets six questions to her favourite player, and Jodie Taylor answers them. Taylor started at about seven in the back garden taking shots at her dad, one of four sisters in a family where, she jokes, she was the son he never had, and played with the boys at school before joining Tranmere Rovers at eleven, staying until she left for college in the United States at eighteen. She supported Liverpool and Tranmere growing up, picks Kelly Smith as the best women’s player ever, and names beating Canada in the 2015 World Cup quarter-final, scoring in front of over fifty thousand as England made history, as her best moment, with the hat-trick against Scotland at EURO 2017 close behind. Her advice: enjoy it and play without fear.
