She Zee Does It (Shelina Zadorsky interview)
She Kicks, issue 63, October 2020 pp.18–21
Canada’s centre-back arrived at Tottenham on loan from Orlando Pride alongside Alanna Kennedy, a few weeks before Alex Morgan followed them, and she is candid about what drew her. England makes the fifth country of a club career that has taken in Australia, Sweden and the United States, and she says she is a nomad who no longer knows quite where home is. She wanted an August-to-May season and a league where everything is about football. On the pitch she describes herself as vocal, someone who builds relationships with the players around her and leads a backline. Olympic bronze in 2016, won months after she first joined the senior squad, still feels surreal. She speaks carefully about supporting the NWSL’s Black players and about taking the knee at Spurs.
