She So Good (Ji So-Yun interview)
She Kicks, issue 28, June 2015 p.7
Chelsea’s Korean midfielder Ji So-Yun discusses winning the PFA Women’s Player of the Year award, calling the evening one of the best days of her life. She met Harry Kane and most of the Chelsea men’s players, wore simple formal wear she already owned, and when asked why she stood out to fellow professionals answers simply that she has no idea. She was disappointed by Chelsea’s final placing the previous season while rating it a very good year for the team and herself. She often watches the Chelsea men with team-mates and finds it inspiring, naming Nemanja Matic as her favourite. Looking ahead she is pleased about Wembley and thrilled to be playing at her first World Cup, where Korea’s strength is teamplay and the aim is to escape the group. Her essential packing item is the Bible.
