She Kicks Some Predictions (Sort Of…) – Tokyo 2020 preview panel

Three journalists answer the same six questions about the Olympic tournament, half seriously. Sophie Lawson wants to see Zambia’s Barbra Banda and most of the Japan squad, tips New Zealand to take something off Australia, and predicts a lot of forgettably ugly kits and a Sweden-Japan final. Jen O’Neill lists Debinha, the Mewis sisters, Sophie Ingle finally at a major tournament, and the 43-year-old Formiga at a seventh Olympics, alongside a set of teenagers. Chris Brookes wants Kim Little back with Great Britain and picks out Japan’s Yuka Momiki and Hina Sugita. Asked how to replace penalties, the answers include crepe-flipping, a dance-off, and throwing a kettle over a pub.
