She Kicks Issue 16 — Cover: Hope Powell
She Kicks, issue SK16, September 2013 p.1
The September 2013 cover of She Kicks, issue 16, priced 2.75 pounds, is given over to Hope Powell in an FA via Getty Images portrait, under the split headline England without Hope and the line that Powell’s fifteen-year reign ends. Her departure from the FA, announced on 20 August after a group-stage exit at Euro 2013, dominates the issue. Interviews billed across the cover are Jill Scott, Emma Mitchell, Yuki Ogimi and Lianne Sanderson, with further FAWSL interviews promised with Remi Allen, Gemma Bonner, Angharad James, Melissa Lawley, Caroline Weir and Victoria Williams. Also trailed are a Euro 2013 gallery from Sweden, SK Awards with Yeovil Town, Foreign Kicks from Pakistan and Going on Tour. The issue carries ISSN 2051-185X and notes the next edition will turn pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
