She Kicks Goal Getter: Sophie Scores Goals (Sophie Le Marchand interview)
She Kicks, issue 39, January 2017 p.41
Leyton Orient striker Sophie Le Marchand, twenty-eight goals and counting after top-scoring last season, did not play football until she went to Oxford, where she won Cuppers with Somerville and played for the Blues. She also played cricket for Worcestershire and Somerset, for Bath CC and for the England Women’s Academy and Under-21s. Orient have won every league game convincingly and were beaten only narrowly in both cups by a Tottenham side two divisions above, which she says gives them confidence they could compete higher. She wants forty goals and the league title. Her celebration is a Batman shirt pulled over her head, which earned a booking the second time and won an FA Cup tie.
