She Kicks Goal Getter: Garston’s Goal Getter (Lauren Berryman interview)

Eighteen-year-old Lauren Berryman from Hemel Hempstead has spent half her life at Garston Ladies, with a spell at Watford’s Centre of Excellence, and this season plays for both the Under-18s and as captain of the open-age side, scoring twenty-two goals for one and sixteen for the other. The Under-18s finished second; the ladies need to win their last two games to reach Division One, a target made harder by playing with only ten players most weeks. A right winger at heart, she scores mostly with her right foot and rates curled finishes straight from corners as her best. She has been playing eleven years, is not sick of it, and assistant-coaches an Under-14 side.
