She Kicks Back: Sophie Bell (Scunthorpe United Ladies)

The She Kicks Back questionnaire meets Sophie Bell, a 25-year-old winger with her home town club Scunthorpe United Ladies, now known as Scunthorpe and Bottesford, who has spent several summers coaching in the United States. Bell supports Grimsby Town, works as an administrative co-ordinator, and rates playing the simple pass as her best attribute. She recalls a play-off decider at Under-14 level that swung twice in extra time before she scored the winning penalty. After finishing university she interviewed for UK Elite and flew out a week after her last exam, coaching in the Philadelphia district of Manayunk from June to November 2010 and returning in 2011, 2012 and 2013. She now holds a UEFA B licence and NSCAA qualifications, and says she missed her family, proper chocolate and curry, but not the weather.
