She Kicks a Eurobeat Special: The Ultimate Tournament Mixtape

The magazine’s regular music slot is expanded to take in all sixteen finalists, one player from each supplying a track. Norway’s Nora Holstad Berge offers a Cyrus sibling to match the Hegerbergs, Shanice van de Sanden brings something for the hosts to bounce to, and Denmark’s Nadia Nadim explains that everyone gets to suggest songs though she likes to throw in Arabic curveballs. Despacito turns up, probably more than once, via Italy’s Elena Linari. Three national anthems of a different kind are recorded: Sweden’s official song, arranged through Kosovare Asllani; Switzerland’s, sung by their own defender Rachel Rinast; and Scotland’s, sorted the year before. England’s pick, inevitably, comes from squad DJ Alex Scott.
