She Kicks a Beat with Sarah Wiltshire
She Kicks, issue 24, November 2014 pp.52–53
Wales forward Sarah Wiltshire, who moved from Watford to Yeovil in July and regularly drives to Somerset from Hertfordshire, is the subject of the magazine’s recurring music Q&A. Country is what she loves, she says, naming Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum, Florida Georgia Line and Dustin Lynch, a taste acquired on leisure trips to America and sustained by the storytelling in the lyrics. She scored twelve club goals over the season and was prominent in Wales’ World Cup qualifying campaign, including the winner against Turkey. Wiltshire admits she would never be allowed to act as team DJ because nobody wants to listen to her country music, leaving those duties to Katie Cook at Yeovil and Natasha Harding with Wales. Her first CD, she confesses, was Blue.
