The second MG ALBA Scottish Women’s Football Awards drew 450 guests to Glasgow on St Andrew’s Day to hand out nineteen categories. Glasgow City took three, Kirsty Howat as SWPL 1 top scorer, Scott Booth as coach of the year and the double winners as team of the year, while Hibernian’s Jamie-Lee Napier was named the league’s player of the year and Hamilton Academical and Aberdeen collected four apiece. Twelve-year-old Sophia Martin won goal of the season and sixteen-year-old Aaliyah-Jay Meach save of the season. Erin Cuthbert, absent on Chelsea duty, was international player of the year and her father accepted on her behalf. Rose Reilly was honoured for her service to the girls’ and women’s game, and a new award commemorating the late Kat Lindner was presented for the first time.
