Safe Hands: Sophie Harris (London Bees)

She Kicks, issue 35, May 2016 p.50

London Bees goalkeeper Sophie Harris opens the magazine’s new Safe Hands slot. Her father pushed her into goal when she was younger, which she calls the best decision he ever made, and she rates distribution as her best attribute, trying to make assists in training. She describes herself as one of a kind, names Peter Schmeichel as the best goalkeeper of all time and picks her London Bees shirt as her favourite because it carries the number 48 in tribute to her mother. Gloves take longer to choose than boots because they have to be right. She loves small-sided games and finds crossing practice boring, and wishes outfield players understood that keepers do more than they think.
