She Kicks, issue 24, November 2014 pp.19–21

Chelsea need only avoid defeat, Birmingham must win and hope, and Liverpool in third require both to slip. Notts County lead at Birmingham inside three minutes through Aileen Whelan, Chelsea lose keeper Marie Hourihan to a shoulder injury, and Jill Scott and Toni Duggan put Manchester City two up. Carly Telford’s double save denies Karen Carney from the spot. After the break Hannah Keryakoplis levels for Birmingham, then Natasha Dowie, Lucy Bronze and a Fara Williams penalty win it for Liverpool. Abbie McManus is sent off, Gill Flaherty pulls one back, and City’s debutant keeper Alex Brooks holds firm. Liverpool take the title on goal difference; Everton are relegated after 21 years.
