Randall Ready For Big League (Nathalie Randall interview)

Old Actonians’ long-serving player Nathalie Randall describes winning the London and South East League title after a points deduction toppled rivals Carshalton Athletic. The squad only felt tension near the end, having spent the first half of the season marvelling at their own improvement with no expectations. They believed they had lost it when a late equaliser against Carshalton left their rivals needing only to beat a Corinthians side that turned up with nine players. The deduction, she understands, followed confusion over when a suspension took effect, leading Carshalton to field a player against Maidstone who scored in a 2-0 win. After a two-week wait and an investigation the title was confirmed, capping a season in which the club also won the League Cup.
