Quick Kicks: Top Ten with Rachel Corsie (Birmingham City)

Scotland’s captain, on loan at Birmingham City from Utah Royals and the spine of Carla Ward’s stubborn defence, takes the magazine’s quickfire questionnaire. She describes herself as a player who loves having the ball and playing out from the back, and as a leader by example. The music is safely left to somebody else; she would pick something chill, perhaps Dermot Kennedy. She watches any live football going, including the local game in the park, and would have been a tennis player before recently developing a taste for squash. Asked which moment she would change she declines the premise entirely, saying the hardest moments have been the greatest lessons. Her boots carry no words and she still washes them herself. The holiday would be whisky-tasting in the Highlands, and the whole team is invited.
