Quick Kicks: Top Ten with Lauren James (Manchester United)
She Kicks, issue 62, August 2020 pp.14–15
At eighteen, and with 26 goals in 45 appearances for Manchester United behind her, Lauren James takes the magazine’s quickfire questionnaire. She describes herself as powerful and determined, would have the team run out to Panic! at the Disco’s High Hopes, and would like to have been a professional basketball player despite not being the tallest. The moment she would change is a trick she attempted against Manchester City on the opening day of the season when she should simply have shifted the ball and shot. Asked what she would have embroidered on her boots, she chooses her initials with an England flag on one and a Grenada flag on the other, for her background. She would take Amy Turner to Dubai on the grounds that they are both laid-back, and would set the team possession games in training.
