Primed & Ready (Atlanta Primus Interview)

Six years after her first appearance in She Kicks, the London City Lionesses forward returns off the back of what she calls her proudest career moment. Having played for England at youth level, Primus debuted for Jamaica in October 2021 and started as the Reggae Girlz beat Haiti 4-0 to reach a second World Cup, a decision she took largely to represent a grandmother who knows her career statistics better than she does. She describes the dressing room afterwards as dancing, loud music and staff joining in, and is clear-eyed about a tough year of federation upheaval. On staying at London City she cites the squad, the staff and how the club is run; on her college years in California she says it took a year to find her feet but that America gave her back her love of the game.
