Her Goal, issue 2, December 2025 pp.54–57
The Norway defender’s second Her Goal column, written in her own voice, on living with repeated injury. She describes juggling football and handball into her teens, choosing handball at 18, and returning to football in 2014 after a patellar tendon problem; then the 2015 Lisfranc injury that nearly ended everything, a broken leg at Chelsea, and the same foot injury again at Manchester United. Golden retriever Theo, colouring books and sudoku from Fran Kirby and Maren Mjelde, 1,000-piece puzzles with Millie Turner, Vilde Boe Risa, Martha Thomas and Sophie Baggaley, and Paint by Numbers with Guro Bergsvand all helped. So did photography, sparked by United photographer Madeleine Penfold, and a gallery of her own images follows the column.
