Pivs Pin Down Promotion (Vicky Norman interview)
She Kicks, issue 28, June 2015 p.43
Vicky Norman explains how Stockingford AA Pavilion Ladies became Birmingham League champions and how the club acquired its mouthful of a name. Originally formed from Nuneaton Town and Higham, it became Attleborough Mills after a move, then took on the name of its current ground as part of the deal to play there; locally they are Piv Ladies or the Green Army, and the only women’s team in Nuneaton. The season began with the aim of fourth place, but performances surpassed expectations and a comfortable 5-1 home win over traditional rivals Sandwell convinced them they could be champions. Her best moment was the final whistle at Tamworth, 6-0 up and winning the title; the worst, gale-force conditions and freezing rain at Continental Star.
