Pet Corner: Jorja Fox

Chelsea and England Under-23 defender Jorja Fox introduces Cali, the one-year-old working cocker spaniel who has been a source of joy through her recovery from ACL surgery. Fox describes picking Cali up just months after her injury, and how the pair’s parallel recoveries, from restricted first steps to now running and chasing balls together, became a source of comfort during a difficult rehabilitation. She reveals Cali’s football habit of hoarding punctured balls in the garden, her party-trick repertoire, and compares her personality to former Chelsea teammate Ji So-yun. Fox also recounts play-dates with Millie Bright’s three dogs and names Bright as the teammate she would trust to dog-sit, ahead of former colleagues Maren Mjelde and Fran Kirby, now departed from the club.
