A two-page statistical review of the 2015 FA WSL 1 season compiled from data supplied by Opta, framed around the observation that while Chelsea took the title fairly comfortably, the numbers suggest Manchester City and Arsenal will be close behind next season. Team tables cover goals, where Chelsea led with 30 at 2.14 a game, plus shots, passes, fouls conceded, tackles, cards, goals conceded, shot conversion, passing accuracy and average possession, with Manchester City topping passes on 6,364 and passing accuracy at 75.55 per cent and Arsenal leading possession. Individual tables record Fran Kirby’s leading minutes-per-goal rate, Beth Mead’s 12 goals, Jennifer Beattie’s 558 successful passes, Mary Earps’ 63 saves, Alex Greenwood’s six assists, Gemma Davison’s 66 completed dribbles and Izzy Christiansen’s 33 chances created.
