Oh When The Saints: Chantelle Robinson interview (Leicester City Women)

Sharing the page, Leicester City Women’s Chantelle Robinson discusses a flying start of eight straight wins in FA Women’s Premier League Midlands Division 1, scoring more than four goals a game. Robinson says the squad has massively improved through new signings and that the team are determined to show why they deserve to play in the league above, with manager Jonathan Morgan making promotion the clear aim after missing out the previous season. Having joined late the previous campaign from Eastwood, she notes the difference in quality around her, crediting Lauren Impey, Becky Carnelley, Becky Knight and Helen Busby for creating chances, and says her own driving with the ball and self-belief have improved. She reflects on a 4-0 cup defeat at Northern Division Bradford as a worthwhile test, explaining that availability limited Leicester to twelve players and injuries left them finishing with seven fit.
