Official Kicks: Natasha Wilson
She Kicks, issue SK14, June 2013 p.47
An Official Kicks page with a married mother of two from Halifax, nine years in the middle and following her father into refereeing. Natasha Wilson took the course while helping coach a local youth team that needed someone to officiate, having played at primary school before injury stopped her at secondary. Now a level 7 referee, she works Saturday and Sunday leagues around Lincoln plus the Lincoln City and Lincoln Ladies Centres of Excellence, and has cup finals in hand, all of her cup games this season having gone to extra time. She treats every game like a final because the laws do not change. She describes learning from her local Referees’ Association and having Sian Massey shadow her on the line, and aims to become a FIFA assistant referee.
