Chris Brookes meets the Norwegian striker whose route to Moray began with her father’s football-watching holidays: a tour of Elgin City’s ground, a conversation with director Chris Foot, a joke about a daughter back home, and a trial in the summer of 2024. Lundberg has since reached 75 goals since the start of last season and was named SWFL Player of the Year at November’s awards, with Elgin now top of Barclays Scottish Women’s League One. She studies digital marketing online, volunteers for the club because a work permit bars her from earning, and has tried Irn-Bru, haggis and black pudding. Scottish openness, she says, is why one season became two.
