The first of the issue’s news pages gathers international and club items from October 2015. UEFA confirms the Women’s EURO 2017 match schedule, opening in Utrecht on 16 July and ending with the final in Enschede on 6 August, the first finals to feature 16 teams, with Doetinchem, Rotterdam, Breda, Tilburg and Deventer also hosting. Scotland win all their U-19 qualifying games while Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland progress as runners-up, all four home nations also reaching the U-17 elite round draw. The FIFA Ballon d’Or shortlists are listed in full, five British-born coaches making the World Coach shortlist but no British players nominated. Jess Fishlock and Kim Little make the NWSL Best XI and head to Melbourne City, Crystal Dunn is named league MVP, Rosengard retain the Damallsvenskan, Scotland gain a second Champions League berth, and FA Girls’ Football Week triples its target with over 16,000 participants.
