Net Busting Belle!: Courtney Sweetman-Kirk interview (Doncaster Rovers Belles)

Nat Clarke interviews Doncaster Rovers Belles striker Courtney Sweetman-Kirk, who has 21 goals and counting as her side lead WSL2. She describes the campaign as on track against clear aims set at the start of the season, and says she believed promotion was achievable from the outset after running Sunderland so close the previous year, crediting hard work, a few new players and the vision brought by new coach Glen Harris. Sweetman-Kirk says the pressure is now on everyone below and that the Belles want to go up as champions, naming togetherness, character and work rate as the squad’s strengths. She describes a mixture of poachers’ goals and long-range strikes, credits team-mates for the hard work, and names Razza Roberts, Leandra Little and Steph Houghton as the toughest defenders faced.
