Millie Bright

Doncaster Rovers Belles forward Millie Bright, 19, interviewed at an FA Girls’ Football Festival in Newcastle with goalkeeping team-mate Nicola Hobbs on hand. Bright says scarce goals in the FAWSL simply drive her on, and explains that she has not renewed her dual signing with Leeds United because she now has a starting place at Doncaster and would rather test herself against Arsenal and the like. She found the England under-23s a step up in pace, still counts Kasia Lipka and Bethany England from her Sheffield United days, and names the Lincoln win as her favourite Belles game. Hobbs praises her powerful, unpredictable strike, credits manager John Buckley with developing enthusiastic local players, and notes the squad train twice weekly around jobs, Bright a fitness instructor and Hobbs a firefighter.
