Meado + Hempo Poster (Beth Mead and Lauren Hemp)

A full-page poster of Beth Mead and Lauren Hemp celebrating together in England’s orange change shirt, Mead roaring and Hemp fist-clenched, under the hand-set title ‘Meado + Hempo’ and a caption calling them livewire England forwards in scoring and celebration mode. It sits in the middle of the Group A section of the EURO 2022 pullout, immediately after the squad’s media-huddle quotes and immediately before Hannah Hampton’s Quick Kicks – in which Hampton names Hemp as one of the team-mates she would take on holiday, having known her since they were both thirteen or fourteen in the age groups. Six weeks later Mead would win the tournament’s Golden Boot and be named its best player. Photograph by Imago/Nina Farooqi.
