Manchester City Poster (FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup winners 2022)

A full-page poster of the Manchester City squad immediately after winning the 2022 FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup, the side arranged in two rows across the width of the page in front of the competition backdrop, some in the sky-blue first-choice shirt and others in training kit and coats against the cold. It is the celebration image of the campaign the news pages describe a page earlier, when City came from a goal down at half-time to beat Chelsea 3-1 at Plough Lane in front of a competition record crowd of 8,004. The page carries no caption and names no player, the squad presented as a whole with only the photographer’s credit, Claire Jeffrey for Sports Press Photo.
