Lucy Bronze Poster (#100Caps #Lioness)

A full-page pull-out poster of the England defender in the red away shirt, on the ball at an international, her name in large red type beside the printed hashtags #100CAPS and #LIONESS, the photograph credited to Imago/Sportimage. The poster marks her hundredth England appearance, reached in the season after a EURO-winning campaign in which she headed England’s second in the semi-final against Sweden at Bramall Lane and, by her own account in the previous issue, would have traded her Champions League medals for that night. She had joined Barcelona from Manchester City the previous summer, via three seasons at Lyon. It is the second of three named posters in the issue, after the Ella Toone spread and the uncaptioned Arsenal team poster near the front of the magazine.
