London Bees: Fast Facts & Ground Grab

Long-time strugglers, the Bees have recruited and are benefitting from a closer relationship with Barnet. The page records six wins, four draws and eight defeats in 2016, seventh on 22 points, with Jo Wilson well clear as top scorer on thirteen goals in sixteen games and Paula Howells and Nicola Watts the most used. Coach Dave Edmondson arrived at the start of 2016 having led Melbourne Victory to a W-League championship, taken New Zealand’s under-17s to a World Cup and managed Bristol Academy in WSL 1; the page says his impact was gradual rather than immediate but produced attractive, possession-based football and a respectable seventh place. Home is The Hive, five minutes from Canons Park, with season tickets at five pounds a month. Ashleigh Goddard is flagged as the fan favourite.
