Little Kicks

The magazine’s recurring Little Kicks page of reader submissions, compiled by Steve English under the standing question ‘Who is your fave and why?’, in which young fans are pictured with players. Joanne Pritchard’s daughter Fraya appears with Chelsea and England forward Beth England, her favourite player, alongside an oil pastel drawing she made of England’s dog Buddy while the national team were in America – impressive, the magazine says. A second submission gathers a family of Arsenal and Oranjevrouwen supporters photographed with their favourite Dutch Gunners, Vivianne Miedema, Jill Roord and Danielle van de Donk, plus Beth Mead as an honorary member. The page identifies the contributors by name or social media handle and the children by first name only, the players appearing as the subjects of the fans’ own photographs.
